Chinchero
Located high in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Chinchero is a small town steeped in history, natural beauty, and a rich textile tradition,
making it one of Cusco's most authentic and fascinating destinations. This charming place is famous for its breathtaking landscapes, archaeological
remains, and, above all, for being the home of ancient Inca textile crafts.
Moray
Moray is one of the most mysterious and fascinating archaeological sites in the region. Known for its impressive circular terraces,
this site is considered an ancient center of Inca agricultural experimentation, where the Incas perfected their techniques for growing
a wide variety of crops through microclimate manipulation.
Maras
Maras is a unique destination that combines history, culture, and natural beauty. This picturesque town is famous for its salt mines,
more than 500 years old, a marvel that has been used for generations for traditional salt extraction. The Maras salt mines are one of the
region's most iconic sites, with thousands of small salt pools filled with salt water that evaporates in the sun, leaving a layer of salt
that is collected by the town's inhabitants.
Ollantaytambo
Ollantaytambo is one of Cusco's most impressive destinations, famous for its rich history, well-preserved Inca architecture, and authentic atmosphere.
Known as the "living Inca city," Ollantaytambo is still inhabited by direct descendants of the Incas, giving it a unique connection with the past.
The archaeological site of Ollantaytambo is a jewel of Inca engineering. Its fortress and temples, built on a hill, offer spectacular panoramic
views of the valley. The imposing main plaza and the gigantic agricultural terraces extending across the mountain are just some of the elements
that make this site of great historical and cultural significance. It is known for having been an important ceremonial and military center during
the Inca resistance against the Spanish conquistadors.
