Itinerary

CUSCO

Day 1: Arrival in Cusco

Morning: Upon arrival at Cusco Airport, you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel. This is a good time to rest and acclimate to the altitude.

Afternoon: In the afternoon, you will enjoy a City Tour around Cusco, where you will visit key attractions such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cathedral, Qorikancha (Temple of the Sun), and the impressive ruins of Sacsayhuamán. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the rich history and culture of the city.

Day 2: Chinchero, Moray, Salt Mines, and Ollantaytambo

Morning: Your day begins with a visit to Chinchero, a charming Andean village known for its traditional textiles and beautiful landscapes. Then, you will head to Moray, a fascinating archaeological site featuring circular terraces that the Incas used to experiment with different microclimates and improve crop cultivation.

Midday: Next, you will visit the Salt Mines of Maras, where you will see the ancient process of salt extraction in thousands of small pools that are filled with salty water from nearby springs.

Afternoon: Afterward, you will travel to Ollantaytambo, a significant Inca city known for its impressive fortress and terraces that climb up the mountainside. At the end of the day, you will take a train to Aguas Calientes (the town near Machu Picchu) where you will spend the night.

MACHU PICCHU

Day 3: Machu Picchu and Return to Cusco

Morning: From Aguas Calientes, you will take a bus to Machu Picchu, one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. You will spend the morning exploring this iconic archaeological site, where you can admire Inca architecture, the Temple of the Sun, the Main Plaza, the Intihuatana (a solar clock), and other historic structures surrounded by stunning scenery.

Afternoon: After exploring Machu Picchu, you will take the train back to Cusco, enjoying the beautiful Andean landscapes once again during your return trip.

CUSCO

Day 4: Farewell and Transfer to the Airport

Morning: After breakfast at your hotel, you will have some free time depending on your flight schedule. If you wish, you can take a final walk around Cusco or relax before your departure.

Transfer: Finally, you will be transferred to the Cusco Airport for your flight back to your next destination or home.
